Smart Industry and Flexible Manufacturing
with the Tekna TKE 955 and TKE 954 Machining Centres
The continuous evolution of the manufacturing market presents companies with a threefold challenge: ensuring maximum production flexibility, delivering uncompromising precision, and reducing lead times.
Through its Tekna brand, a pioneer in the market for aluminium extrusion machining solutions, the Voilàp Group addresses these challenges with the TKE 955 and TKE 954 moving-gantry machining centres. Designed to redefine the entry-level segment, these machines provide a strategic solution for high-performance, flexible manufacturing.
Engineered for Fast, Precise Machining
Both models feature a moving-gantry design with a dual rack-and-pinion drive system, ensuring a large working capacity and outstanding machining speeds while delivering performance comparable to that of larger industrial machining centres.
The key difference lies in the axis configuration. The TKE 955 is a 5-axis CNC machining centre equipped with an 11 kW (S1) electrospindle, capable of machining and cutting on five faces without repositioning the workpiece. The TKE 954, a 4-axis CNC machining centre, is fitted with an 8.5 kW (S1) electrospindle (11 kW optional) and machines the profile on three faces through movement along the B axis.
Both machines perform drilling, milling and tapping operations from -90° to +90° on aluminium, light alloys, PVC and steel up to 2 mm thick.
Functional Design for Continuous Productivity
Designed around the Shuttle concept, the machine enclosure combines accessibility, excellent visibility and operator safety thanks to its large glazed surfaces and integrated chip collection system.
To maximise productivity, in addition to single-zone machining of bars up to 7–9 metres long, the optional Dynamic Pendular Mode allows the CNC to control the clamps independently along the H and P axes. The clamps are repositioned during machining cycle time, significantly reducing idle time and increasing productivity, particularly for medium- and high-volume production batches.
Industry 4.0 Connectivity with Voilàp Connect
In line with the Smart Industry vision, Tekna machining centres integrate seamlessly with Voilàp Connect, the Voilàp Group’s cloud-based IoT platform. The system monitors machines, energy consumption and production status in real time, providing performance tracking, automatic alarm notifications and encrypted communications.
By increasing operational visibility and control, manufacturers can minimise downtime and optimise resource utilisation. In addition, Voilàp Connect supports the objectives of the Transition 5.0 programme by helping companies improve energy efficiency and enhance the sustainability of their manufacturing processes.
Applications Across Multiple Industries
The combination of precision, speed and flexibility makes the TKE 955 and TKE 954 ideal partners across a wide range of industries. Typical applications include the construction and fenestration sectors—such as windows, curtain walls, canopies, balustrades and gates—as well as subcontract manufacturing, high-tech industries including automotive and photovoltaic systems, and the production of furniture components, elevator systems and shower enclosures.
